Ingredients


1 cup millet flour (ragi, bajra, or jowar)


2 tbsp moringa powder


1/2 cup jaggery (adjust to taste)


1/4 cup grated coconut (optional)


1/2 tsp cardamom powder


2 tbsp ghee or coconut oil


1/4 cup water or milk (dairy or plant-based)



Instructions


1. Prepare the Jaggery Syrup:


In a pan, add jaggery and 1/4 cup water. Heat until the jaggery melts. Strain to remove impurities and set aside.


2. Toast the Millet Flour:


In another pan, heat ghee or coconut oil. Add the millet flour and toast on low heat for 5–7 minutes until it releases a nutty aroma.


3. Combine Ingredients:


Slowly add the jaggery syrup to the toasted millet flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.


Add grated coconut (if using), cardamom powder, and moringa powder. Mix well.


4. Shape the Sweets:


Cook the mixture until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.


Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Grease your hands with ghee and shape the mixture into small balls (laddoos) or flatten it into a tray and cut into squares once set.


5. Cool and Serve:


Allow to cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
